Exactly a year ago today...
over 6 years ago – Wed, Nov 22, 2017 at 09:51:12 PM

The conversation goes something like this...

Me: I say we blame Cormack's baby.

Mark: No. We can't just blame the baby.

Alex: You can totally blame my baby.

It's been exactly one year since our last KS update about CROSSING. Since that time we have found a publisher, scheduled a rollout, changed the publisher, scheduled another rollout, rolled past the deadlines... and all through that time, we have been plugging away at the series, all the time fielding questions about when the series will continue.

Well, folks, it's time to put up or shut up: we have not only completed Issue 2 of CROSSING, but Issue #3 is exactly three weeks away from completion. Which means... IT'S PAST TIME TO SHOW YOU SOME PAGES!

This week is Thanksgiving in the U.S. Over a year from our last campaign, I'm still thankful to all of you for supporting us at the beginning, getting us on track. As we promised, our intention is to Kickstart the next issues for this series. We will be in touch soon to talk about our printing/production plans. For now, please accept this gift on behalf of Alex Cormack, Mark Mullaney and your truly: the first six pages from CROSSING #2.

As of tomorrow, t'is officially the season for gifts, so expect some more from us before the end of December. For now, please know that we have more--so much more--still to show you! For those of you celebrating, we wish you a happy, healthy and loving holiday. For those who don't, feel free to use us as an excuse to partake in something festive and fun.

Much love,

Enrica J. and the CROSSING team

2 Comics and a Baby
over 7 years ago – Tue, Nov 22, 2016 at 11:41:58 AM

Hi everyone!

First, my apologies for the dearth of updates these days. I'm pleased to share that most of the rewards packages have either been sent or are in transit.

Thanks to @geekypinups for the pic!

One big one even arrived! Behold:

Baby's first comic.
Baby's first comic.

Alex Cormack's new baby son already has excellent taste in comics.

For those folks still waiting on packages, if your reward pack included a sketch, 3 x 5 card, or any other art, these are the holdovers as Alex and I are shipping stuff back and forth to one another so that I can send out packages. I'll be sure to include some extras in each pack to make up for the wait. For everyone else, the digital files should have all been delivered. Thank you, everyone, for your tremendous support!

This is a short update ahead of Thanksgiving (this American holiday where we eat even more food than as per usual), but I'll be back in the swing of things after this weekend. I have pictures to share, new updates for CROSSING to send your way, and one big GIANT ANNOUNCEMENT still to *pop* before the New Year. For now (for those celebrating) have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

See you on the other side,

Enrica J.

OCTOBER is here! Plus, CROSSING debuts at #NYCC
over 7 years ago – Wed, Oct 05, 2016 at 11:08:26 PM

Hi everyone,

So...this happened:

 They're heeere!

That's always a great moment, opening a box of new books--it's hard to not scatter them everywhere and start rolling in them (don't worry, I restrained myself.) Plus, I'm excited to finally begin getting these in the mail to backers! Shipping will begin next week--I will send a new update when the first batch goes out. These will be shipped on a rolling basis, so please expect another few weeks before arrival.

Anyone heading to New York Comic Con?

We'll be at booth #1140! Backers can pick up some rewards at the show (t-shirts and other merch not yet available.)
We'll be at booth #1140! Backers can pick up some rewards at the show (t-shirts and other merch not yet available.)

We'll be at New York Comic Con Thursday thru Sunday, booth #1140 in Small Press on the main floor. Stop by, say hi, and backers can even pick up rewards! Note, merch like t-shirts and sketch cards will not be at the show, but comics will comfort you, if you so desire. Also, I'll be there and rumor has it that Alex Cormack will also be making an appearance, so come on by and let us thank you!

Woot! This is what we've worked and waited for, so thank you all so much for making this possible. More very soon!

See you on the other side,

Enrica J.

SPX this weekend, and last call for surveys!
over 7 years ago – Wed, Sep 14, 2016 at 03:04:44 PM

Hi guys,

First off, thank you to everyone who has filled in their Backerkit surveys so far. It's my first time using this service, but it's been great to get all the love and shout-outs on Twitter and Facebook Thanks for that! For folks who haven't filled it out, or may have missed it, you can reclaim it here: https://crossingcomic.backerkit.com/ I need names by the end of this week if you're to be included in the book, so please do this right away.

****A quick apology to some of our digital rewards folks: I left a box unchecked in the surveys and it asked some of you to give shipping addresses for digital only rewards. I think I've fixed it, but I'm sorry for any inconvenience!***

And a big THANK YOU to the people who provided feedback in the survey for rewards and other bits for any future campaigns! This was incredibly helpful--especially the one demanding "Alex Cormack, slave butler" and "Giant hugs from Rica." We will do our best to accommodate! You know who you are. :)

On to the fun part: I am going to be setting up this coming weekend at Small Press Expo (SPX) and then early next month at New York Comic Con. We have a few more things still to finalize, but if you're in either of these areas, check our calendar for dates, and don't miss! I will have special extras for any Kickstarter backers who stop by. Find more details in our newsletter!

I'll leave you with a new colored page from CROSSING #1. We're still on track and on schedule--fingers crossed we keep THAT going. I'm looking forward to meeting and hearing from all of you when rewards go out next month!

P.S. The campaign for OPHELIA'S REVENGE, by my friends James McGee and Alex Clark, is still going on now. Please give some love to these guys--they're in the final stretch!
